Caloundra Boasts Lowest Vacancy Rates on the Sunshine Coast

Caloundra landlords are rejoicing as the suburb tops the list as the most coveted spot for renters with a 0.6% vacancy rate as released by the REIQ in their recent report. In fact, a rental can be listed and approved within 24 hours, indicating how popular the suburb has become over the last 12 months.

In comparison, the Sunshine Coast overall posted a 1.4% vacancy rate while Brisbane and the surrounds sit at 2%.

The REIQ’s September quarter vacancy rates show an overall tightening of most rental markets throughout regional Queensland as employment opportunities continue to attract workers.

What advice do the Stockdale & Leggo Caloundra Property Management team have for potential tenants attempting to secure a rental in Caloundra?

  • Don’t give up. Persistence is key in this situation. 99% of people will give up so if you’re in the 1% who are happy to keep trying, you’re the most likely to secure a rental.

  • Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Have a second option in terms of other suburbs you’d be happy to live in.
